I spoke with Julie at Rideaway Adventures, which has been renting out paddleboards, kayaks, and bikes, along with offering guided tours, on the Cape since 2008. Rideaway Adventures has three locations. But, did you know that Cape Cod has more options for aquatic adventures besides the ocean? Stray off the beaten path and discover the hidden gems that are the Cape Cod ponds. If there was a 0 I would gladly attribute it to this review.Whether you enjoy laying out in the sun, playing in the sand, or diving into the ocean waves, Cape Cod’s beaches have it all. Now I dont even want to drive close to it. I was going to bring my family once a week over there because they sometimes need a break from the beach. It is dying and nobody cares about the safety of the kids over there. The place is a disgrace and I would suggest avoiding at all cost. Vises are sticking out, holes in the floors concrete so big your kids can twist their ankles, mold everywhere, shaking stairs to the slides made of piles concrete blocks, rotten stairs and structures to the biggest slide, dirt kids pool. The whole park is simply put rotten and completely neglected in terms of maintenance. We got in for 25$ for 2 teens, 1 adult and 2 young kids which is a fairly good price. We live 2 minutes away from the water park and decided for a change not to go to the beach and to bring the kids with us. We are not precious princesses if you know what I mean. I travelled to many countries and adapted to many situations with our kids. We are a family of 5 living in Costa-Rica. My 4 year old could stand in some areas, other areas like the bigger slide definitely needed a parent, although I couldn’t reach the bottom (I’m 5’1” so I’m short, but another mom was 5’7” and didn’t touch the floor either) so bring some floaties or just stay in the pool with them and be ready to tread water to catch them. Mom and dad enjoyed some shade and mojitos. It could use a little maintenance and I would recommend water shoes for smaller kids because they can’t jump from stone to stone and they end up stepping on Little Rock’s that hurt their feet, but my kids loved trying the “salchipapas” and drinking piña coladas. Afterwards they played on the indoor play equípment. Kids had fun in the splash pad and the kid pool. Staff is friendly and brings you food and drinks poolside. Our kids are ages 4 and 5 so they were a bit too small for ATV, horses and a few other activities so one day we decided to take them here. I’ll start by saying that if you stayed in an Airbnb like we did, this was a fantastic way to entertain the kids outside of the beach.
